IMG_0355IMG_0353IMG_0348IMG_0342IMG_0375IMG_0397IMG_0387IMG_0363this mountaintop recreation area has been another one  of my favorite peaceful places in all of Oahu  . It is very close to the place where I live.what I can’t often get is a mountaintop pine forest.the hiking trail that starts in this park and then climbs to the 2,300-foot summit of Mount Olympus… well, that’s one of the longest and hardest Hawaii hikes.

Set amidst a towering forest of Cook Island Pines at the top of the Saint Louis Heights neighborhood (between Manoa and Palolo valleys), Waahila Ridge State Park is a IMG_0305IMG_0310IMG_0391IMG_0400shady, breezy, quiet and scenic piece of paradise! I catch the best photo when I  walk up to the edge of the cliff and see all of Manoa Valley : RainBow

Hiking 3.Diamond Head State Monument

Took a hike up diamond head and it was fantastic, the views are amazing and the history about how diamond head was created and the military side of it was fascinating

The paths are in pretty good shape, but there are many of stairs. It can get crowded, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time.

It’s a hiking trail for all ages,.Great to see people of all ages completely gone the walk to the top. Once you get the top the view is awesome and well worth the walk to the top. fun,exciting,thrill-seeking, panoramic view of Oahu, Waikiki coast line, homes, condos and famous landmarks.

A must go !!IMG_0226IMG_0177IMG_0176IMG_0293IMG_0218IMG_0243IMG_0251IMG_0259IMG_0214

I’will say that this is my favorite trail on the island, take a look the photo and you can see why.I didin;t post the waterfall pic due to the waterfall. so dry today :(

Felt like I was in another world when I was here. Seriously, like in a dream. It’s very surreal. the greenery is beautiful, the nature is lush. this is 3rd time I hiking here.

the last photo is

Shama Thrush Bird. This bird is probably the most beautiful songbird in the islands. Its voice is rich, load and clear. . , when you listen for this bird in the forest, you must not listen entirely for the song, but instead for the sound of the voice; deep and rich.

Anytime you take a hike, you know it’s just as much a sound experience as a visual one. Today’s post highlights a bird that gives me both: striking plumage and a song to beat the band

Hiking 1 Koko Crater Trail

Posted April 2nd, 2017 by admin

Challenging walk/hike which rewards you with a great view when you’re done, If you like hiking and a challenge, this is definitely the place to visit.kokoheadKokoHead 2

I would hesitate to do this wonderful hike again The railroad tie steps are uneven and even though you would probably do okay on the hike up, coming down would be more difficult. The silt like sand and uneven steps make it very slippery. You would have to be super careful every step down.

When you get to the top you can get a 360 degree view of East Oahu and Hanauma Bay.

nature is full of colors
with beautiful scented flowers
if your’e in a forest or a park
its nice even in the dark

DSC0sec9

nature is full of beasts and birds
with so many shrubs and ferns
its mountains are very high
they almost touch the sky

nature has its deserts
and nature has its plains
at times its sunny
sometimes it rains

nature is so pretty and bountiful
and sounds so beautiful
when people destroy nature,
remember :
we need nature for our future.

I feel like a cactus
Growing with thorns,
Yes I am growing
As you nurture me

DSC06754

But all this nurturing
Only breeds more thorns.
You have a garden of cacti
You grow them so well,

DSC06738

I look at a soft cactus
Growing in your pots
Soft, flowering but still it grows thorns
The pot with cactus,

DSCui715

Like my heart grows,
With thorns,
Where you want flowers,
It overflows from my heart and pricks at yours.

I want see ! i WANT SEE ! and you ?
